This briefing will equip legislators, their staff, and the public with essential knowledge about government surveillance practices, gaps in digital privacy protections, and how these vulnerabilities enable attacks on civil rights. Experts will also discuss actionable steps for the California Legislature to strengthen privacy protections.

WHERE: Near the Capitol Building in Sacramento, exact location will be shared with registered guests. The briefing will also be livestreamed.
