Marshal Arnwine Jr is a value creator, dynamic public speaker, author, and proven leader that operates with character, integrity, and excellence.

As a Legislative Advocate, Marshal is astute in pursuing social justice, defending the oppressed, and correcting the oppressor.

For five years at the ACLU of Northern California he served as the Legal Policy Advocate for the Criminal Justice Program, focusing on police practices, prosecutorial accountability, and reducing incarceration in jails by analyzing legislation, lobbying, writing advocacy letters, and providing expertise to policy makers. As a subject matter expert in police accountability, he led policy implementation for six California criminal justice laws (SB 2 Police Decertification, AB 481 Military Equipment Use, AB 392 Police Deadly Use of Force, AB 953 Racial and Identity Profiling Act, SB 1421 Access to Police Officers Records Relating to Police Conduct, and AB 1185 Civilian Sheriff Oversight.)
Marshal was featured in the University of San Francisco Lawyer Magazine (Fall 2021 Issue), which highlighted his legislative and policy advocacy, and his passion to seek justice to address inequality and racism within the criminal legal system.

Marshal is a legal scholar and author that demonstrates a strong command of legal research, writing, and analytical skills, exhibited by his article being published by the University of San Francisco, Law Review. “Trauma and Learning: Creating a Culture of Educational Access for Inner City Communities.” (University of San Francisco Law Review, vol. 53, no. 1, 2019, pp. 77-116.)

Marshal is a business owner, founder, and CEO of Arnwine Winners Foundation (AWF), a law school admissions consulting company that coaches law school applicants on how to win in applying to law school through the winning principles of vision, faith, and preparation. AWF offers tailored solutions to maximize students’ success for the Law School Admissions Test, feedback on resumes and personal statements, strategies for receiving strong letters of recommendations, and offers financial strategies to finance the law school application process and law school.

He earned his Juris Doctor law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and a minor in Legal Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
